• Enrollment as a full-time student in a university program.
• Completion of at least one semester at their home university.
• Maintaining a minimum GPA of 2.0 out of 4.5 or its equivalent.
• Demonstrating adequate proficiency in English or Korean.
• Being in good physical and mental health.

• Students must ensure financial stability throughout the study period.
• Students are strongly encouraged to thoroughly review our course list to confirm the availability of a sufficient number of courses that meet their academic requirements.
• It is mandatory for students to possess private health insurance covering hospital expenses during their stay in Korea.
• Students are advised to have good mental and physical health for a successful experience studying abroad.

• Students are required to establish an email account on the DKU application website to proceed with the application.
• Then students need to fill out the online application form, providing details such as personal information, chosen major, preferred accommodation type, etc.

• If students are not highly proficient in Korean, we strongly recommend selecting courses only from this list.
• Courses offered in English are available in Jukjeon Campus only; Cheonan Campus does not offer courses in English.
• This list also includes a wide range of intensive Korean language courses designed for international students learning the Korean language.
• The complete list for a new semester will be made available one month before the semester begins. While there may be minor changes, the list of courses offered each semester generally remains consistent. Therefore, prospective students planning to study abroad are advised to review the course list from the previous year.

• Courses offered in Korean, both major and liberal arts, are recommended for students with a Korean proficiency of at least TOPIK Level 3 or above.
• Students can search for lectures in the course catalog for each campus below.
• Actual registration may be restricted based on departmental limitations and remaining seats for each course.
• Courses in the Jukjeon Campus School of Theater and Film (Theater, Film, Musical) and courses in the Cheonan Campus Medical School, Dental School, Pharmacy School, and Nursing School are all unavailable for enrollment.

• We offer exchange/visiting students the freedom to select courses from any department, irrespective of their major. Students are advised to read the course syllabus for each chosen course, as course selection is entirely their responsibility.
• Exchange students may choose any course from the provided list of English-taught courses and mix courses from different departments regardless of their major.
• There is no prerequisite to attend courses in any year level. However, we advise students to carefully assess their capabilities and make informed decisions by reviewing the course syllabi.
• Students can take up to 19 credits per semester including the Korean language courses. Exceeding the 19-credit limit is strictly prohibited under all circumstances. Additionally, auditing classes without formal enrollment is not permitted.
• While there is no strict minimum number of courses required for exchange students, we advise taking a minimum of 9 credits to ensure a rewarding and enriching academic experience.
• Before registering for courses, we encourage students to consider the credit transfer or validation process for when they return to their home university. To gain clarity on this matter, it is essential to consult with their home university beforehand.
• Students can take courses from one campus only.

• Students select their accommodation type during the application stage. Guaranteed placement is ensured for those choosing on-campus housing in their online application.
• Residence on campus is optional, allowing students to choose to live off campus independently.
• Exchange students residing on campus will be accommodated in double occupancy rooms at Woongbi Hall for Jukjeon Campus and Danwoo Hall for Cheonan Campus. Single rooms are not available.
• All residents have a roommate and are asked about their roommate preference. While the housing office endeavors to accommodate preferences, it's not guaranteed.

• Although living on campus is recommended for reasons such as safety, building a sense of community, and cost-effectiveness, students are free to choose off-campus accommodation if they prefer. However, Dankook University does not arrange off-campus housing for students, nor does it endorse specific real estate agents or service providers.
• Therefore, students who wish to secure off-campus accommodation must independently locate suitable housing and carefully review and understand any contracts or agreements they enter into.

It is hard to estimate a budget since expenses will vary depending on personal lifestyle. But here are some examples of what things cost:

• Public Transportation to Seoul: 3,000 KRW
• On-campus cafeteria: 3,000 ~ 7,000 KRW
• Dining out: 10,000 ~ 20,000 KRW
• A bottle of water: 1,000 KRW
• 1 liter carton of milk: 3,000 KRW
• Starbucks tall size Americano: 4,100 KRW
• McDonald’s Big Mac set: 6,400 KRW
• Bread or buns in a bakery: 2,000 ~ 5,000 KRW
• Movie at theater: 11,000 KRW
• Admission to a museum, temple or palace: 3,000 KRW
