Eligibility
Exchange/Visiting students must meet the following requirements:
- Enrollment as a full-time student in a university program.
- Completion of at least one semester at their home university.
- Maintaining a minimum GPA of 2.0 out of 4.5 or its equivalent.
- Demonstrating adequate proficiency in English or Korean.
- Being in good physical and mental health.
Additional considerations for students before nomination:
- Students must ensure financial stability throughout the study period.
- Students are strongly encouraged to thoroughly review our course list to confirm the availability of a sufficient number of courses that meet their academic requirements.
- It is mandatory for students to possess private health insurance covering hospital expenses during their stay in Korea.
- Students are advised to have good mental and physical health for a successful experience studying abroad.
Nomination
- Students wishing to study as an exchange or visiting student need to be nominated by their home university.
- Nominations must be made by the exchange coordinator or study abroad adviser and must include the student’s full name, email address, period of study, academic major, and intended field of study.
- Nomination calls are dispatched to our exchange/visiting partners via email on March 1 for the Fall Semester and September 1 for the Spring Semester. Partners who do not receive our nomination calls are kindly requested to send us an email at exchange@dankook.ac.kr.
- For detailed information about the nomination process, students are encouraged to consult with their home university's international office or relevant personnel.
- Nomination is not required for students from a non-partner university wishing to study at Dankook University as a visiting student. Kindly send us an email for more information about the application process before the nomination deadline.
