Acceptance
Acceptance Letter
- The application screening process occurs after the application deadline. During this period, students may be requested to submit additional documents or provide clarifications.
- Decisions on applications are typically communicated within 6 weeks from the deadline.
- Accepted students will receive a package containing an official acceptance letter and a certificate of admission for visa purposes.
- Typically, acceptance packages are distributed in mid-December for the Spring Semester and mid-June for the Fall Semester.
Visa
- A student visa is mandatory for non-Korean students intending to study in Korea.
- Upon receiving the acceptance package, students must personally contact the nearest Korean embassy or consulate general promptly for their student visa
- Visa processing times vary and may range from a few days to months, depending on the country and embassy. Therefore, students are advised to initiate the visa application process as early as possible.
Travel Arrangements
- Upon receiving the acceptance package, students should arrange their travel to Korea in alignment with the academic calendar, considering dorm move-in/out dates and orientation.
- Attendance at orientation is compulsory for all new incoming students.
- Students will be informed of a designated arrival day when airport pickup services are provided. It is highly recommended that students arrive on this day to seamlessly follow the planned school schedule.
- Early entry to Korea is permissible if the visa allows, and students must leave within 2 weeks after the last day of the month in which the semester concludes.
Health Insurance
- Students must have health insurance covering their stay in Korea.
- Students need to purchase health insurance in their home country and submit the certificate before coming to Korea.
- The insurance policy should cover sickness, accidents, and death. Students should also familiarize themselves with how the health insurance works in case of any medical issues.
- Additionally, students must subscribe to the Korean national health insurance service; however, exemptions are available for those whose purchased private insurance meets specific requirements.
Tuberculosis Test
- As per Korean Immigration Service requirements, students living on campus must submit proof of an authorized tuberculosis test (via x-ray, skin, or blood) taken in the same calendar year of their dormitory move-in. Scanned copies of the tuberculosis test results are to be submitted in February for the Spring Semester and August for the Fall Semester.
- This requirement does not apply to students staying off-campus.
